Robotics & Coding Instructor (FT/PT)

Location: In-person at 2120 Prairie Dr, Unit# 601, Prosper, Texas 75078
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (based on candidate availability)
Starting hourly rate: $15/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Our programs, starting with LEGO Robotics, are designed to cultivate computational thinking, creativity, and confidence in the innovators of tomorrow.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and responsible Robotics & Coding Instructor who can teach robotics classes (focused on LEGO platforms) and collaborate on designing and refining our curriculum.

Responsibilities

– Teach engaging, in-person robotics and coding classes using LEGO platforms (e.g., Spike Prime, EV3)
– Assist in designing and evolving project-based curriculum for various skill levels
– Manage classroom setup and foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
– Track student progress and communicate with parents and ThinnkBotics staff
– Support in running events, workshops, and student showcases when needed
– Help build a culture of experimentation, innovation, and excellence

Preferred Experience & Skills

– Background in Robotics, STEM, Education, Computer Science, or Engineering
– Experience teaching or mentoring students in robotics/coding
– Comfortable working with young learners
– Strong communication and classroom management skills
– Self-driven and reliable
– Willingness to work weekday afternoons and weekends

Nice to Have

– Curriculum writing experience
– Familiarity with robotics competitions
– Knowledge of block-based coding, Python, or Scratch

Schedule

– Weekdays: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
– Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
– Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
