Is your child confident in math, or are there skills that may need a little more support?
ThinnkBotics is hosting a Math Open House in Prosper, Texas for families with students in Grades 1–5. Parents can bring their child for a free comprehensive math assessment designed to help identify strengths, learning gaps, and areas where additional support may be helpful.
Math Open House Dates
Saturdays: October 10, 17 & 24, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Grades: 1–5
Walk-ins are welcome. No appointment is required.
The comprehensive assessment typically takes approximately 60–90 minutes.
Why Start With a Math Assessment?
Every student learns differently.
A child may perform well in one area of math while having difficulty with another. Sometimes those gaps are easy to notice. In other cases, a student may complete assignments successfully but still have weaknesses in foundational concepts that become more important as math gets harder.
Our goal is to better understand where your child is today before deciding what support may be useful next.
The assessment can help identify:
- Math strengths and areas of confidence
- Learning gaps that may need additional attention
- Understanding of important grade-level concepts
- Areas where foundational skills may need reinforcement
- Opportunities for more advanced learning
Rather than simply giving students more worksheets, understanding the underlying skill gaps allows instruction to be more focused.
What Happens After the Assessment?
The written assessment is only the first step.
After the assessment has been reviewed, families can schedule a separate discussion with our Math teacher to go through the results, understand the findings, and discuss possible next steps.
The teacher discussion is not conducted during the Open House, allowing us time to properly review each student’s assessment before meeting with the parent.
During the review, we can discuss:
What your child already understands well
We identify areas where the student demonstrates strong understanding and confidence.
Where additional support may be helpful
The assessment can highlight concepts that may need reinforcement before the student moves to more advanced material.
A personalized learning direction
Based on the results, we can discuss which skills should receive greater attention and how the student can continue progressing.
Math Support for Grades 1–5
The elementary years are an important time for developing strong mathematical foundations.
Our Math program focuses on helping students strengthen areas such as:
Number Sense
Understanding numbers, place value, numerical relationships, and how numbers work together.
Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division
Building both understanding and fluency rather than relying only on memorized procedures.
Fractions & Measurement
Developing the conceptual understanding needed for increasingly complex mathematics.
Word Problems & Mathematical Reasoning
Helping students understand what a problem is asking, choose an appropriate strategy, and explain their thinking.
Problem Solving & Confidence
Encouraging students to approach unfamiliar problems thoughtfully rather than giving up when the answer is not immediately obvious.
Our instruction is TEKS-aligned, helping Texas students strengthen skills connected to what they are learning in school and build a stronger foundation for future coursework and STAAR preparation.
Small-Group Math Learning in Prosper
At ThinnkBotics, our Math program uses a small-group learning environment so students can receive more focused guidance while still benefiting from learning alongside other students.
The objective is not simply to help a child finish homework.
We want students to gradually develop:
Understanding → Fluency → Problem Solving → Confidence
When students understand why a mathematical method works, they are better prepared to apply that knowledge to new problems.
